On Sunday, May 3, 2010 Middle Tennessee experienced a historic series of storms that resulted in record rainfall and widespread flooding. Gaylord Opryland, which sits adjacent to the Cumberland River, suffered flood damage as the river rose to levels that have not been seen in the last 50 years.
The hotel and convention center are currently closed.
While the coverage on the national media showed some of the devastation to properties in parts of Tennessee and Kentucky, the evening news doesn’t disclose the consequential events that follow such a natural disaster.
Gaylord properties is in the process of contacting all customers with meetings or rooms booked at Gaylord Opryland that are scheduled to arrive within the next 90 days, and every effort will be made to relocate groups from Gaylord Opryland to other hotels in the Gaylord brand.
The latest announcement from Crawford Contractor Connection is that the 2010 Convention has been moved to the Gaylord National Hotel located in National Harbor, MD (Washington, D.C.), August 18-20. Teeone is committed to this industry event and has confirmed our participation at the new location and date. We encourage everyone in the construction/restoration industry look for us at the Trade Show (New Booth Number to be announced).
During these difficult times, our thoughts of support go out to the people and businesses involved with restoring the quality of life for everyone affected by the recent floods.
